Flavor and food familiarity are built through repeated, low-pressure exposure — not through forcing yourself to eat something or powering through disgust. The research on sensory-specific satiety and food neophobia consistently shows that the most important thing is contact: seeing a food, being around it, and eventually, when it feels right, tasting a small amount. This challenge is about starting that process.

You pick one food at the beginning of the week — something you're at least slightly curious about. Each day, your job is simply to have some kind of contact with it. Day one might just be buying it. Day two might be smelling it. Day six might be actually tasting a small bite. There are no rules about what 'counts' — the only thing that matters is that you show up to the experiment every day.
